A CHRISTMAS SHOUT-OUT
It’s so close to Christmas, we can almost taste the turkey. And the ham. And the mince pies. And all the rest of the festive malarkey.
But there’s still time left to talk about some of the great work done by our clients this year.
One of the rewarding things about Generate is that we work with some brilliant and talented people. Here, our team nominate some of the inspiring projects our clients have produced in 2015:
Client Manager Redmond Reyes: Hermitude’s album Dark Night Sweet Light did amazingly well, reaching #1 on the albums chart and nominated for 6 ARIA awards. Sample it here: https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/dark-night-sweet-light/id985474344
Director Ben Fletcher: The Explainers have done a great job producing engaging and entertaining marketing materials that really cut through. Check them out here: http://theexplainers.com/
Senior Client Manager Jac Cassell: Jeremy Sims directed Last Cab to Darwin which is doing very well for an Aussie film. You can check out the full story about the film’s success here: http://thescreenblog.com/screenintel/reality-check-last-cab-to-darwin-the-numbers/
Accountant Gabe Iacono: I really enjoyed following the boys from Bondi Harvest on YouTube, as they travelled around the world cooking up some great food! Mark did a great job capturing the beauty of Lake Como while Chef Guy prepares an Italian favourite. You can check out the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCc4KO4HNtE.
Director Jacqui Crouch nominates In Films’ brilliant TV projects Borderland and Hitting Home. More about this remarkable company here: http://in-films.com/ and also gives a nod to our stable of YouTube sensations: How to Cook That, MyCupCakeAddiction, Mighty Car Mods and CharlisCraftyKitchens.
Client Director Lauren Hillier points out Sticky Pictures (Producer Donna Andrews) venturing from kids to comedy with successful series Sammy J and Randy in Ricketts Lane (3 AACTA nominations, and available on iView here: http://iview.abc.net.au/programs/sammy-j-and-randy-in-ricketts-lane/CO1401V001S00) and Antony Partos (Composer) who won AACTA Award for Best Original Music Score in a Documentary for Sherpa (http://sherpafilm.com/)
Me, I’ll go for Alana Valentine’s play, Head Full of Love presented by our awesome clients Performing Lines. Read all about their work here: http://performinglines.org.au/
And one last festive example you can catch right now if you’re in Sydney, AGB Event’s spectacular Lights of Christmas at St Mary’s Cathedral until Dec 25.
Happy holidays to all!
